Tonight I encountered a somewhat "coded" racial slur against our President, Barack Obama. I was so taken aback that I could think of no appropriate comment, except to ask that we get on with the bidding.

I don't think the bridge table is an appropriate place to make (solicited or unsolicited) racial or political pronouncements.

Other opinions?
