Take your game to the next level
Eight is Enough Swiss Teams

The Raleigh Bridge Club is pleased to announce that it is partnering with Unit 191 to offer Eight is Enough Swiss Teams!

It's a regular Swiss teams game, however, no team may have more than eight points on it (thus the name Eight is Enough).  What is a point?  A players count as 3 points.  B players count as 2 points and C players count as 1 point.  You can have a team with 2 As and 2 Cs, 4 Bs, 4 Cs, and lots of other combinations.  Teams with 8 points will be stratified as "A", teams with 6-7 points will be stratified as "B" and teams with 4-5 points will be stratified as "C".

So what is the point of this game?  There are three:
1.      To collaborate with our friends in Unit 191.
2.      To encourage A players to invite B and C players to play on teams, to encourage B players to invite A and C players to play on teams and to encourage C players to invite A and B players to play on teams.
3.      To level the field and keep the focus on fun.

Eight is Enough Swiss Teams will be held once a month on a Sunday afternoon, beginning Sunday, January 13, 2008.  The date will float around from month to month to avoid falling on Sundays where there is a sectional or regional tournament nearby.  Fees will be $6 per person.  The location is the Bridge Center, 6104 Fayetteville Road in Durham.

The game will be limited to 16 tables.  Reservations are required.  Call Jay Bates at (919) 815-2085 to sign up.
